This South Carolinian cited the results of a local poll at President Clinton's impeachment inquiry, saying 82 percent of the people in one part of his district wanted to throw him out of office. "In my district, people have no use for this president-none, zero, zip," Graham said. He is the first Republican since 1877 to represent the Third District of South Carolina in the House. During his two terms, he has championed cutting taxes and reducing federal regulations on local governments and businesses. He's an Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm veteran with a B.A. in psychology and a juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina.

Mary Bono, (R-44th) California

The representative of California's 44th Congressional District was elected with 64.7 percent of the vote in a special election on April 7, 1998, to fill the seat previously held by her late husband, Sonny Bono. A mother of two, she was named Woman of the Year in 1993 by the San Gorgonio Chapter of the Girl Scouts of America for her assistance to victims of a tragic Girl Scout bus crash in Palm Springs. The University of Southern California graduate is active in organizations such as the D.A.R.E. program and the Olive Crest Home for Abused Children. A lifelong conservative, she also serves on the House Committee on National Security.

Ed Bryant, (R-7th) Tennessee

Ed Bryant has represented TennesseeÂ's 7th District since 1994. He serves on the House Agriculture and Judiciary committees and has focused his efforts on death penalty reform, Congressional reform, and agricultural issues. He received his bachelor's and law degree from the University of Mississippi. In 1970, he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army, military intelligence branch. He later sered in the Judge Advocate General Corps as a captain. Bryant and his wife have three sons.
