Following Michelle "Bombshell" McGee's report that she had a hot affair with Sandra Bullock's husband, Jesse James, Bullock has moved out, according to People magazine. However, it seems James is holding on the marriage: He was seen wearing his wedding ring as he walked his children to school Thursday.
On "The Early Show" Friday, People Senior Editor Kate Coyne said James is trying to keep business-as-usual because he has to.
She said, "He has primary custody of his youngest child, so someone's got to take her to school, someone's got to be there. And I think it's understandable right now that Sandra now doesn't want to be in the public eye in any way. But it's probably not the worst thing in the world for Jesse to be out there ... reminding the world that he is a husband, he is a father, he is trying to be a good guy."
According to a statement James released to People magazine, he says he's sorry to Bullock and his three children -- though, CBS News Correspondent Ben Tracy points out, not quite fessing up to the fling. "The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment," he said in the statement provided to People.
