—BUZZMEDIA: The online pop-culture publisher has found its next chief revenue officer in Doug Rohrer. Rohrer has the background, as he was the MTV Networks EVP of Sales. Another former MTV-staffer Andi Poch, previously the VP of Ad Sales for the network and MTV.com, signed on as the company’s SVP of Ad Sales. The two will work closely to “devise and manage sales efforts.”
—comScore: Two new players were hired by the digital number cruncher: Anne Hunter, VP of advertising effectiveness products, and Daryl McNutt, VP of Marketing Solutions, Media. Most recently, Hunter was VP of strategic insights at AOL, LLC and McNutt came in from Specific Media, where he was VP of Client Services.
—Travel Ad Network: Higher-ups Cree Lawson and Brian Silver (pictured) have been promoted. Silver, who had been president and COO, keeps the former but upgrades the other to CEO. Founder Lawson, who was the CEO, will now be chairman of the board.
—Altimeter Group: Three ex-Forrester Research analysts have found a haven over at Altimeter Group. Jeremiah Owyang, Deborah Schultz and Ray Wang have joined Charlene Li as partners at the San Mateo firm that Li founded when she left Forrester last year. They will all concentrate on technology, and how companies can best use it to deliver their messages.
—TAG Strategic: Dick Wingate and Faron McKenzie are joining the digital entertainment consulting group. The 30-year veteran Wingate, who’s held senior positions at most of the major labels, will be the company’s Head of East Coast Client Relations, developing new business opportunities and co-consulting new clients. McKenzie will be the Director of Business Development, Europe, where he will develop new business initiatives and report to Khalid Amin. Previously, McKenzie was an Account Director at Lyons Presentations Group Ltd.
