President Obama's Schedule Today

In the morning at 8:46 a.m. ET, President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will observe a moment of silence on the 8th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with White House staff on the South Lawn.

Later, Mr. Obama will deliver remarks and participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, Va.

After returning to the White House, the president will receive his daily briefing and meet with senior advisers.

In the afternoon, the president and the first lady will participate in a service event in the Washington.
