New York City is about to be invaded by some of the world's best chocolatiers as the 13th annual
Chocolate Show kicks off Wednesday.
The four-day long extravaganza features more than 65 chocolate companies that will present a diverse array of fine chocolates and chocolate-inspired products.
And on "The Early Show" Monday, Anne Thorton, host of the Food Network's "Dessert First," offered a preview of some of her favorite extravagant, delicious samples that will be displayed at the event.

Anne Thornton's Fudgy Salty Peanut Butter Brownies
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 cup chopped nuts, optional. (recommended: toasted salted walnuts)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
In a heavy bottomed saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from the heat, stir in nuts and vanilla.
Spread evenly into foil-lined 8 or 9-inch square pan. Chill for 3 hours or until firm. Remove the fudge from the pan and place onto cutting board; remove the foil from the bottom of the fudge and cut into squares. Store covered in the refrigerator or freezer.
