Irish rock star Bono has joined a consortium hoping to take over Scottish champions Celtic, newspapers reported on Sunday.
The consortium, led by former Celtic and Scotland player Kenny Dalglish and rock star Jim Kerr, wants to buy the stake of chairman and majority shareholder Fergus McCann.
McCann plans to sell his stake by March and return to Canada.
The Mail on Sunday said sources in Ireland close to U2 lead singer Bono had confirmed his involvement.
