Unplugged: A Helicopter Commute for Washington's VIPs

Most people drive or hail cabs to get to an important meeting, but for some here in Washington, the sky's the limit.

The men and women of the 12th Aviation Battalion stationed in Fort Belvoir, Va., are tasked with ferrying around some of the highest level military and government employees in and out of the Washington area. But that doesn't mean flights are open to just anybody.

"There is a ranking code that is set up by our executive air branch of transportation," says pilot Chief Ken Alm, "we follow that code by which aircraft they get and priority of flight and times."

The Alpha Company crew agreed to give CBS News a ride on a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter and a behind the scenes look into the world of VIP transports. You can watch the video above.
