You need to see this amazingly complex and fascinating contraption in action

(CBS News) As you might know by now, we here at The Feed have a real passion for Rube Goldberg machines and other types of crazy contraptions. So when we see one we love, we feel compelled to share it with you. On that note, can you guess what the above video might be? I'll give you a hint: we saw something we really love.  I'd recommend watching in high-definition.

The video for this insanely complex structure is entitled "Clockwork - K'nex Ball Machine" and was posted by YouTube user Austin Granger who writes:

This is Clockwork, my fifth major K'nex ball machine, and my largest and most complex K'nex structure to date. It took 8 months to build, has over 40,000 pieces, over 450 feet of track, 21 different paths, 8 motors, 5 lifts, and a one-of-a-kind computer-controlled crane, as well as two computer-controlled illuminated K'nex balls.

Without question, this awesome contraption has earned a big triple-rainbow salute of excellence from us here at The Feed. I'm not quite sure the device qualifies as a Rube Goldberg machine, but feel free to comment below if you happen to know the answer to that?  And to check out more amazing work from Austin Granger, you can visit his YouTube page by clicking here.
