Bruce Beresford-Redman, who was a successful reality TV producer for the CBS program "Survivor" as well as other TV shows, is pictured in his cell inside the Benito Juarez Prison in Cancun.

On March 12, 2015, he was convicted and sentenced to 12 years for the killing his wife, Monica, at the Moon Palace Resort in 2010. He'd been on trial for nearly three years for a crime he says he did not commit.

Beresford-Redman's life has changed dramatically since his wife's murder. He lives with about 10 other inmates in a 12 x 15-foot cell. In this photo he sits on his small bed reading a book.

The Mexican prison houses 1,800 men and women (and a few children) but was built to hold only 700.

Water in the prison only runs a few hours a day. Beresford-Redman showers with the water he collected in buckets during that time. He says he takes up to four showers each day to stay clean.
